Hauswin

Hauswin is a Tok Pisin word that simply translates to House-Wind. As the name suggests, these buildings are houses built without walls so that the cool ocean breeze passes through. Our Hauswin is right on the beachfront and is a great place to relax with a cool drink and watch the sun set.

Mobile Coverage & WiFi

Reliable mobile coverage, including international roaming and internet access is available via the mobile carrier Digicel’s 3G Mobile Network. Broadband is not available in rural areas such as Kabaira.

We offer free WiFi to in-house guests. As the WiFi relies on the mobile network, download speeds can be limited, but is usally sufficient for emails and posting to social media.

To access Digicel’s 3G mobile network on your own mobile phone, prepaid SIM cards are readily available for purchase upon arrival in Port Moresby (there is a Digicel shop immediately outside of Arrivals at the International Airport); as well as several shops in Rabaul and Kokopo. Once a Digicel SIM card is installed, the mobile user purchases prepaid credits or “Flex Cards” to be able to make calls, send texts and access the internet via the mobile network. SIM cards are available for K5, and prepaid Flex Card values range from K2 to K100. For more information please visit Digicel PNG Prepaid Phone and Data Plans.
